March 15 is World Consumer Rights Day.

March 15 commemorates the day that President Kennedy outlined the Eight Consumer Rights in America. For consumer associations throughout the World, WCRD is an annual occasion for the celebration and solidarity of the Global Consumer Movement.

The Eight Consumer Rights forms the basis for the struggle for Consumer Protection and Consumer Welfare throughout the World.

WCRD is led and coordinated by Consumers International (CI). CI is the world federation of consumer movements; it is the independent and authoritative global voice for consumers. CI has a membership of 240 member organizations in 120 countries. CI sets the global theme for WCRD.
